Basic Facts
full name: Lucy Justine Weasley.
name meanings and origins:
nicknames and aliases: Luce, Moose, Moosey, Molly, Lolly, Lollipop, Weasley, Weaslette, red, oi you!
date of birth: January 3rd, 2005.
gender: Female.

Magical
wand:
bloodline: Pureblood.
patronus:

Background
class status: Middle class.
nationality: British.
place of birth:

Family
father: Percy Ignatius Weasley. date of birth. Pureblood. Gryffindor. High-ranking official in the International Magical Office of Law. relationship.
mother: Aubrey Anne Weasley nee Smythe. date of birth. Pureblood. Ravenclaw. Healer at St. Mungo's on the Ground Floor for Artifact Accidents. relationship.
twin sister: Molly Weasley. January 3rd, 2005. Pureblood. Gryffindor. Student. Molly is Lucy's best friend - her other half, her twin. The two are nearly inseperable and Lucy honestly can't imagine life without Molly.
other notable family members and relations: Uncles Bill [deceased], Charlie, Fred [deceased], George, Ron, and Harry [deceased]. Aunts Fleur [deceased], Angelina, Hermione and Ginny [deceased]. Cousins Victoire [deceased], Dominique [deceased], Louis [deceased], Fred, Roxanne, Rose, Hugo and James.
family history: Percy Weasley's life changed entirely the moment he apologized to his family and cracked a joke to his brother Fred. Fred dying probably changed him the most, next to George. Never think that's he's not strict about certain things, or doesn't frown in that way of his when someone is talking about breaking the rules - he is. That's Percy. But he makes awkward jokes now, too, and he's more easygoing than he was, in some ways. The political climate has made him revert, a bit, the love of life he'd learned from everything that had happened fading beneath stress and fear for those he loved, but he's different. Growing up and into.

Audrey Smythe had been in Hogwarts around the same time as him, although she was a year or two behind - to be honest, he couldn't much remember her, and she laughed and said she remembered him only because he'd been Head Boy. She'd been in Ravenclaw where Percy had been Gryffindor, and she'd gone into Healing right after school. That was the only way she'd been involved, in the end - Audrey hadn't known about the final battle until after the fact, when McGonnagall had sent notice to Mungo's that there were dozens of students and teachers who needed tending, and that some couldn't be moved.

They didn't even really speak then, although Audrey was the one who briskly went about fixing up George as Percy stood by, both still shellshocked - and then moved on to fix up Percy, and then the nearby Hannah Abbott. Later he'd remember her, but then she was only one of many after the world had changed, a confident girl with gentle hands and a kind voice.

Percy's never managed to live it down that he asked Audrey out in a graveyard. Which is where he met her the second time, really; Audrey'd lost her only brother in the war, and Percy had lost one of his, and that they'd both been buried in the same graveyard really shouldn't have done much at all. Except Audrey had a knack for faces and had come over, stating that his cheek really had healed up nicely. Percy hadn't the knack she had, so it'd taken him a few moments to catch up, staring at the girl who started up conversations in graveyards; she'd laughed at him, easily and without meanness, and maybe it was her smile [there weren't a lot of smiles, yet] that prompted him to ask her to dinner the next day.

Whatever it was, Audrey quickly became a fixture of the Weasley gatherings, managing to pass quite a few tests when she only doubled over in laughter at becoming a canary for a few moments ["I should've known better, honestly"] and when she managed to somehow pull off a conversation with Aunt Muriel without losing her smile. No one was really surprised when Percy proposed two years later, and no one was really surprised when she said yes.

They moved into a house in a town that wasn't all country but wasn't all town, and a few years afterwards Audrey gave birth to their twin daughters, Molly and Lucy. Percy is, predictably, the stricter parent, although he does tend to have a soft spot for his girls. Audrey, while not one to take nonsense, was the one who taught the girls to fingerpaint and then the one who only laughed when Lucy tried her new skill on the wall.

build:
hair: Weasley red.
eyes: Blue.

defining marks:
defining scents: Lemon-scented soap, usually grass in the seasons it grows.
wand hand: Left.
voice: Amused, upbeat; Lucy's voice isn't the high pitch of a very young girl anymore, but she hasn't yet gotten to the voice of a woman.
dress style: When she's out of uniform she'll most often be found in jeans and some sort of shirt [usually advertising Quidditch teams].
general appearance: Lucy, like most Weasleys, is very easily recognizable as such. She has the famed red hair, for example, although her shade of red can lean more towards auburn. She's also got the Weasley freckles, from her nose to her toes. It'd be impossible to see her and not associate her instantly with her family, even if she hasn't yet said her name [as long as, of course, the viewer knows of the Weasleys].

She's tall like her father, and thin like him too. Lucy's height tends to put her above quite a few of her yearmates - literally - but she seems perfectly fine with it, her back always perfectly straight. The thin bit tends to mean she has no breasts to speak of [unless you like the things to be barely there, in which case, speak away!] and she looked a little awkward when puberty hit, while adjusting to her height and such - she can still look awkward at times, but Lucy is usually balanced and in control of her movements, now.

She's happy to report that her eyesight is perfect - although if it weren't she certaintly wouldn't have horn-rimmed glasses. Instead of taking after her father in that respect, as she did in nearly every other, Lucy has her mother's blue eyes that aren't in the least near or far sighted. She's sincerely pleased about it, too.

It's impossible to tell Lucy and Molly apart by sight if you don't know them; they're identical to the last freckle, as far as Lucy can tell, and they're in the same house, which makes uniforms of no help whatsoever. Lucy tends to wear her hair down unless it's particularly hot, in which case she'll wear it up; her uniform tends to be fairly neat, and when she's out of uniform she'll most often be found in jeans and some sort of shirt [usually advertising Quidditch teams].

She is, however, just as likely to wear something of Molly's as something of hers, so that's of little help either; Lucy isn't particularly likely to state which twin she happens to be, either, since she generally gets more amusement from confusing people than she does from announcing who she happens to be every single time she enters a room. Molly may or may not be of more help [to be determined when there's a Molly].

Personality and Psychology

sensing/intuition: Intuition.
pessimist/optimist: Optimist.

general personality: Lucy is the girl you'd want to borrow notes from. Honestly. She takes down everything that's said, organizes it, and then does further reading in the library and takes that down, too. She's thorough, and reliable as a rock when it comes to turning in assignments and giving any given activity all of her effort.

Which isn't to say she's perfectly serious as her father was. Unlike Percy, Lucy can crack the occasional joke, and rarely takes herself as seriously as her father took himself. It's more that she just doesn't do anything half-assed; anything and everything Lucy takes on gets 100% of her attention and effort and nothing less. If she commits to something, she'll do it. If she gives her word, she'll keep it. That's the sort of person Lucy is.

It might not seem like it just from talking to her, though. Lucy tends to act a little less serious than she actually is; it's something she learned from watching her father, and how people react to him. She knows the value of his work ethic - but she also understands that Percy's uptight manner hurt his relationship with his family once [still hurts it, sometimes] and she wouldnt ever willingly endanger her own relationship with her family, or her friends. And, well - Lucy just isn't as uptight.

She's all about turning in her own work on time, but she's hardly out to scold anyone who doesn't. The only time she'll get annoyed about a lack of effort is if it's a group project - at that point she'll expect everyone to haul their own weight. Lucy can't comprehend letting others down, and she doesn't understand how other people can live with themselves when they do that. And, well, for all that she'll laugh and joke around and play at being Molly just to annoy the hell out of people, she's serious about her grades.

That's partly Lucy and partly just how she was raised. Her father has high expectations of his daughters, in academic matters; Lucy's never been inclined to dissapoint him. It was probably Percy who instilled in Lucy the hatred of leaving anything unfinished, or giving anything less than her all - but then, that stubborn nature also tends to run in the family, even if it pops up in entirely different ways amongst the varied Weasley cousins.

And Lucy is stubborn. She's easygoing to a point - something that can only be attributed to her mother's influence, and that of her extended family, as well as her father's reaction to famed Uncle Fred's death - but the instant she doesn't want to be pushed any further, she'll dig her heels in. Literally. Lucy never keeps from speaking up when there's a wrong to be righted - not when she can help. She's far too sensible to go around pronouncing Muggleborns should be back let into Hogwarts [no, that sort of thing has to be taken care of more quietly, in more subtle ways, and she can't fool herself into thinking she's a one-woman army] but if she feels there's a wrong being done that she can fix, or can at least safely shout about without worry for retaliation at her family? Trust Lucy to be right there yelling or duking it out.

And trust Molly to be right beside her. Lucy considers Molly her best friend, partner, and everything else. They fight, yes, terribly loud or horribly quiet and always perfectly passionate, but they always make up, too. Lu honestly couldn't spend more than a day not speaking to Molly - she'd end up driving herself mad. She can finish Molly's sentences and often does - they're not always of one mind, no, but they can always follow the other's train of thought. She wouldn't dream of keeping anything from Molly, not in the least.

Lucy is dependant on Molly - she says it's a twin thing, and that's probably part of it, but she honestly needs to have her older sister around. She can't imagine life without Molly, doesn't want to, and she can't exactly function if Molly's far away. She's used to working as a pair, a team, and she adores it. Lucy sort of figures they'll get houses next to one another when they're older, or go into business like their Uncles did [although she doesn't know what sort of business they'd have, really]. Molly-and-Lucy is just a given, really, as far as Lucy or anyone ese is concerned. And she needs that. Fights with Molly get Lucy far, far more upset than fights with anyone else do, and she hates upsetting her sister or not talking to her for even just a few hours, or being near her and trading raised eyebrows that say a thousand words about whatever is happening.

They're a team, a duo, and that's just how it is. Lucy trusts Molly completely, and expects if she got into a duel [and she can't imagine why she would] that she'd be back-to-back with Molly, and she knows they'd work perfectly together, because they always do. That's what happens when you know someone that well, when you're that close.

Lu's worst, most horrible fear is losing Molly. And that's her boggart, too. Lucy sees herself - alone. And that's not at all ordinary - it's a rare occurance to see one without the other. She could just tell, the time she saw a boggart, saw herself - from the expression alone she understood that it was the thing she'd always been afraid of just from the minute Percy had explained Uncle George to her. She knew it was herself, with Molly gone. Molly dead.

Lucy doesn't imagine she'd like to be Lucy, and not Molly-and-Lucy. Being just Lucy is alright from time to time, but she doesn't want that forever. Molly's the person she's most protective of, because of that, and Lucy can occasionally lose her trademark combination of easygoing sensibility if she feels her twin is being threatened in any way, at all. She'd quite happily throw herself in front of a bullet if it were headed at Molly. And then, assuming she miraculously survived, she'd happily hex the offender into pieces.

And that's odd. Lucy isn't the sort to lose her temper often; she has the Weasley temper, yes, but it's buried under loads of patience from her mother, and Lu's breaking point takes a while to hit - Molly, hurt, just gets it there faster. Lucy normally laughs things off or makes a joke or ignores what people say; it takes more effort to get upset than it does to walk away. That's the reason she'll give - but it's also just the way she is. Lucy has never been the sort who enjoys arguments and goes looking for them - debates, yeah. Fire away! But fights aren't things to take lightly [and for a girl who seems to take a lot lightly, that says something] and she never, ever jumps in without thinking about it. It's just not the way she is.

Lu loves her family; they're important to her. Molly is at the top of the list, of course, but all her aunts and uncles and cousins? Are just as important. She'll often be found laughing with one of her relatives or teasing them, and Lucy prefers to keep up with everyone more than she doesn't. She's prone to giving them nicknames - Molly is Mol or Lolly [in Gred & Forge fashion, thanks for the stories dad] or Lollipop, and Rose is Rosie, or Rosie-Posie, and...well, it just goes on from there. It's a sign of affection, for Lu, but it's also just something she does. She'd probably call a perfect stranger Buttercup, if she were telling them to cheer up.

She's friendly. Lucy likes people, generally, and even if she dislikes someone she's highly unlikely to go out of her way to argue or get mutually annoyed. Disliking someone just means she'll probably avoid them, and that's all. Really, truly. Lu would be astounded to find she had an arch nemisis or anything of the sort, and really wouldn't want the bother of one. She could be finishing her homework or joking around with Molly, after all. Who wants to get upset and hurt over conversations that don't even have to happen?

Biography
childhood and pre-hogwarts: The thing Percy probably regrets most about his daughters' upbringing is telling them all the stories about his childhood, or, in particular, their uncles - Fred and George. It was something he did because they were twins, and for all the adults in the family that simple fact brought back memories that were painful years after the fact. It wasn't something that could be avoided, not after Grandmother Molly made so many partial comments and nearly burst in to tears from time to time, when Molly and Lucy finished eachother's sentences or smiled in a way that Percy rarely did, carefree and with a sense that they knew something no one else in the world did.

Even before learning about their uncles being twins [and that was one of Lucy's earliest memories, really], Lucy was easily a more carefree child than her father had been. She got into the trouble expected of a young girl with a healthy sense of curiosity and mischeif, and while she could often be found with her freckled nose in a book, leaning against Molly, Lucy could just as often be found climbing a tree in a brand-new dress. Lucy tended to smile more often than she frowned, and she laughed quite a lot.

She was never alone. There was always Molly, of course, but then there was also all of her cousins, her aunts and uncles and grandparents. Lucy learned how to treasure time of her own - although honestly to Lucy time with just Molly was more precious - but she also didn't quite like being alone. She was too used to the chaos of a large family, and she loved it. Growing up a Weasley was probably the luckiest thing to happen to her, as far as Lucy was concerned.

She played Quidditch with her cousins, usually on the same team as Molly, although not always - playing against someone you knew better than yourself was a challenge, and playing with them? Generally meant the pair was hard to take. She slipped canary creams from Uncle George into her cousins meals, and found herself tricked just as often in return. She was held tight by Grandma Molly as she squirmed and looked over at her Molly, making faces.

Despite everything happening in the world, Lucy's childhood was happy. Despite James' parents dying [and she was too young to remember them, really, so it didn't hurt except for the fact that James hurt], despite the empty places in the family - Lucy was happy. She traded places with Molly, as she'd learned George and Fred had, once, and the first time Lucy called Molly "Lolly" and Molly called her "Moosey" Grandmother Molly burst into tears again.

The year before Lucy left for Hogwarts, her Uncle Bill, Aunt Fleur, and cousins Victoire, Dominique and Louis were all killed in an attack by the Knights of Walpugis. It was true that she'd lost family before - Uncle Harry and Aunt Ginny - but Lucy hadn't been old enough to remember it. This was different. She'd grown up with Dominque, who had been the same age as the twins and James; she'd been scolded by Victoire, and had Louis follow her and Molly about the Burrow, during family gatherings. She knew them. She loved them. And she'd lost them.

It made the reality of everything that much clearer - because it wasn't just an irrational fear that she could lose Molly, too, or any of her other relatives - she and Molly were safer, a little, being pureblood and having Percy in the Ministry, but... Lucy clung to Molly that much more in the following months, although she'd managed to start smiling and laughing again by the time she was to go off to Hogwarts - still, Lucy gets terribly quiet when any of her three cousins or Uncle Bill and Aunt Fleur are mentioned.
hogwarts years: Going off to Hogwarts wasn't really frightening - how could it be, when you were not only accompanied by your twin, but had two of yours cousins along for the ride? Lucy quite happily sat next to Molly in a compartment with James and Fred, and the four pooled their money to buy snacks when the snack trolley came around. It was a simple manner to pair up for the boat ride, too; Lucy didn't expect them to spend all their time together [well, except Molly] by any means, but it was certaintly nice to not have to go to Sorting with people they barely knew.

James was sorted first, of course, by virtue of his last name; Lucy wasn't surprised with GRYFFINDOR at all, considering most of their family had been in the house, and made a spectacle of herself cheering. Fred was next, to the same house, and then it was Lucy's turn.

She wasn't really nervous, to be honest, although she had wished that Molly had gone first, that she'd been named Molly or - well, something. Lucy was fairly certain they'd both make Gryffindor, but - well, their mother had been Ravenclaw. And the worst thing that could happen now would be to make different houses, as far as Lucy was concerned.

She needn't have worried - right after her, Molly was sorted into Gryffindor, and joined her family at the table. And that, as far as Lucy was concerned, was perfect.

In most classes, the twins paired together; they occasionally worked with friends, or Fred or James, but it was simply more natural to work with one another. Easier, too. Lucy preferred working with Molly because she was Molly, and also because Molly knew just what Percy expected of them, in terms of academics.

Lucy adored Hogwarts - by the time the first month was over she and Molly had the place figured out. It helped, of course, that James had inherited his father's map and cloak [although Lucy strongly suspected that had been more Uncle Ron's doing than Aunt Hermione's] and that Uncle George had known most of the passages anyway, and poured a lot of knowledge down Fred's ears - but the twins helped out, too, and between the four Weasleys [and Potter], they'd got a working knowledge of when the staircases preferred to change, and just where every trick step and shortcut was.

That was what Lucy liked about her big family - it meant you were never alone, and there was always a helping hand.

In her second year St. Mungo's was nearly blown up - or it's said it was going to be. Lucy was horrified at both the news and the following news of the terrorists' ordered deaths - she didn't quite know what to believe, and just wished that the world would go back to the happy place it was before her uncle and aunt and cousins had died.

She attended every Quidditch match religiously - almost as religiously as she studied and did her work, in fact. You just can't grow up in the Weasley family without having a working knowledge of Quidditch, and Lucy loved it besides. She'd sit with Molly and their friends, and usually James and Fred, and they'd all scream at the top of their lungs.

They didn't actually go out for it until fourth year. Molly and Lucy, that was - Fred and James may have. Lucy was quite determined they both make the team - what fun would it be otherwise? After a long debate about just what positions they should go for, both girls went out for Chaser, making use of the departure of a good half of the team the prior year [through graduation]. It's safe to say they made the team, and remain on it - Lucy is quite fond of saying Gryffindor could have an entire team of Weasleys, being that it's true. She and Molly work well together, and they're quite good about including their third Chaser.

Lucy was secretly thrilled not to be saddled with Prefect this year. It would be all well and good for Dad, of course, but she wasn't too fond of the idea of actually having to reign in the younger years for pranks and the like - and, well, she already stood her ground when it came to bullying. She was more than happy to see the position pass to [Molly or Towler].

Lucy's Hogwarts years have been mostly good. The happenings in the outside world, and the political tensions within Hogwarts itself, have been the only 'bad' she knows of. She's not unaware of the reality of things - she's lost family to prove that. Mostly, though, she keeps a happy face in Hogwarts and tries to keep her family in high spirits, while quietly looking for a way to make a change, however small.
